You have decided to move, but confused about different things. Following are some of the tips that will help you in household moving and may clear some of the confusion.
Tips about packing
Packing may be done by yourself or by professional packer. Don’t pack things randomly but pack things methodically. If professional packers are packing the things than insist that many things are packed together like packing bulbs with lamp shades, pack the accessories of appliances with them, if there is small parts for particular item than keep it in a cover and stick this with that particular item. Most of the screws, washers, nuts, bolts etc. are to be kept in a box.
Time to pack
It is always better to pack as early as possible. It will save lots of time afterward. Only keep bare essentials out and pack everything. If you can live without the microwave or washing machine etc for few days than pack them. Start emptying out your refrigerator. Don’t worry if you have to go out for dinner. Pack most of your toiletries and use travel case for a week. In short pack most of your items well before the date of moving.
Keep valuable things with you
Pack your silver or gold or diamond things separately and keep this with you. It is always a good idea to cover all precious items separately with additional insurance if you have more precious items that are easily damaged.
Keep important file with you
Always keep important papers like birth certificate, contracts, bank pass book etc in a file and keep this file with you. For every member of family pack separately the essential items that will be required immediately on arrival at new house.
Moving is always stressful but planning ahead will greatly relieve the tension.
