For some people the decision of moving is simple, but actual moving is very strenuous experience. For many years, you have collected many useful and useless items, to pack and unpack all this item is for you a Herculean task. But if you follow some simple tips than packing may not be as hard as you imagine.
Where to begin?
This is the most crucial question for many people. They waste many hours and even days just to find an answer to this simple question. Let me help you. You start with charity donation or may be back yard sell. Every thing that was not used for last 2 years are fit for sell or for charity. Now after cleaning some of the mess start packing the things that is not for daily use like books, magazines, wall pictures, off season clothing etc. Also pack appliances that are not used daily. From kitchen pack the dishes and other kitchen ware that are not used daily.
Don’t forget to mark each packet so you know from where it came, and where it should go in your new house. Write down on the boxes what are the items you have put inside. This will guide the unloading people and clearly indicate where to place different boxes.
Start gathering all the assorted marked boxes in to one large room when you are within one week from the date of moving. Three to four empty rooms and only one room with the boxes will definitely lower down your stress level. This not only gives the feeling of organized, but you are ready for the actual moving. When you visit your kitchen and find out that most of the drawer and cabinets are empty, you will feel much better and organized. Planning and organizing is the key for packing. It not only helps you for smoother moving from your old house but helps you in the unpack process in your new house.
