If you have not hire the professional and not planned before hand how to load the tuck than it will take hours and many items to be unloaded several time before the truck is loaded. To avoid this type of repeated work planning is most important.
First step in planning how to load the truck is make a survey and list of all the items and if possible write the approximate dimension of each packet or boxes. It is than possible to organize and arrange your movable in to similar sized groups. This alone will ease the tension at the time of moving.
Now from your list, mark the heavy items as red. All red items are first loaded in to the truck. This item includes refrigerator, washing machines, dish washer etc. In short the rule of thumb is any item that requires at least two or more people to move is heavy items.
Always mark the upside of this item and arrange this in the tuck in their upright position. Don’t keep all the heavy items on one side as it will off balance the truck. Hire some padding and protect the heavy materials like furniture with it, this will also help the heavy item to slide easily and also protects from the scratching.
Next comes the longer items in your list you have already marked this items with different color. Long items include long mirror, mattresses, table tops etc. You can load these items after the heavy items and arrange these items in such a way that it won’t take much of space.
After this it is time to load the different boxes that you have packed. First load the bigger sized boxes and than on top of it keep the smaller boxes. It is very important that lighter box should be at the top otherwise it will be crushed.
Lastly put all the fragile and rest of the items. Be sure that they all are secured and does not move while truck moves.
